Here you will find links to several templates that might be useful for analysing narrative texts. I have provided these as tables in .docx format, as .opml files, and as an NVivo skeleton project (both PC and Mac versions). The templates can be found on  the site's resource repository.

Notes on using these templates 

These templates are guides to start you thinking analytically; they are not mechanical aids to be rigidly applied.  

Labov’sstructural approach and the masterplot are both of general use; applicable to both written and oral narrative (after transcription) of various lengths.
